Palms Place opened in 2008, during the Great Recession, and some buyers had difficulty completing their unit purchases because of poor economic conditions. Groundbreaking took place in May 2006, and the tower was topped off in August 2007. The project was announced in March 2005, to capitalize on a condominium boom occurring in Las Vegas at the time. It is connected to the Palms Casino Resort.
